"Homecoming Week"

This past week at Crescent City Chris- tian School, we celebrated our annual homecoming. Everyday we dressed in different themes to build school spirit. On Monday, the whole school was wearing green and sparkles to support the Wizard of Oz theme. For Tuesday, the theme was “Twister Tuesday”.

So as many, of us know, last week was our annual Serve Week. During the week two big events took place out- side of school, the second high school retreat and our annual Great Days of Serving.

If you knew that Jesus would come to see you tomorrow, would your life change overnight, or would you even care? I believe that many people call themselves Christians without actually knowing fully, what the word means. Many people simply call themselves Christians because they grew up going to church or because their parents are Christians.

As 2015 slowly comes to an end, we are once again approaching the anni- versary of one of our nation’s greatest tragedies, September 11th. Although this tragedy took place fourteen years ago, there are those of us out there who have to deal with the loss of loved ones on a daily basis.

There are a few things you, the students, can do to help yourself make the most of the upcoming school year, one of which is actually really simple. Getting enough sleep is one of the most important and vital things you can do in life, especially during the school year.
